Job summary

Kalinga Commercial Corporation Limited is seeking a Mining Engineer/Manager to oversee opencast iron ore mining operations in Odisha, India. The role requires oversight of drilling, blasting, excavation, ROM handling, crushing, screening and dispatch, with compliance to DGMS guidelines and the Mines Act.

Qualified candidates will have a Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering and a mandatory Second Class Mines Manager Certificate, with 3–10 years of opencast mining experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drilling, blasting, excavation, ROM handling, crushing, screening, and dispatch
• Monitor production, recovery, waste generation and material movement
• Track HEMM utilization and coordinate breakdowns with mechanical teams
• Ensure compliance with DGMS guidelines, MMR 1961 and Mines Act
• Control ore quality, sampling, weighbridge and dispatch documentation
• Supervise manpower deployment and shift discipline
• Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports
