Job summary

Convate Consultancy Services seeks a seasoned Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep of heavy earth moving machines (HEMM) and ensure high OEE in mining operations. You will evaluate equipment health, plan spares procurement, and implement RCFA/Why-Why analyses to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance costs.

Key priorities include safety, cost optimization (Opex/Capex), and vendor development. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines, and transmissions is essential, along with experience in

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines and transmissions.
• Exposure to SAP/ERP maintenance modules and cost analysis.
• Experience with budget and cost analysis.
• Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Improve and upkeep HEMM/OME availability to meet targeted mine production targets.
• Regular evaluation of equipment health and procurement planning for spares and consumables.
• Use RCFA/Why-Why analysis to identify failures and implement corrective actions to improve OEE/MTBF/MTTR.
• Optimize Opex & Capex and drive cost optimization initiatives for maintenance.
• Plan for timely replacement of equipment on LCC basis and vendor development.

Role & responsibilities

Improve & Upkeep of HEMM&OME Availability to meet targeted mine production-

Regular evaluation of equipments health and plan for procurement of required spares and consumables. Use of technical tools i.e RCFA/Why-Why analysis to find out failures and taking corrective actions to improve OEE/MTBF/MTTR

Opex & Capex:Optimization of cost of operation and maintenance -

• Zero based annual P&B preparation & execution for cost optimization.
• Vender development & Implementation of best practices for cost control and equipment reliability. Planning for timely replacement of equipments on LCC basis.

Safety Management: Implementation of Safety systems as per mines act to create safe working and pollution free environment in the workplace. -

Compliance of provision of safety appliances in the equipment as per DGMS. Preparation and implementation of safety standards and procedures. Adoption of world class safety standards to improve workplace conditions and employee morale.

People Management: Build & sustain a conducive work culture by effective management of people to improve productivity, growth and motivation levels of employees toinstitutionalize best organizing practices in the unit -

• Align and fixing up of stretched goals to subordinates to meet unit targets.
• Providing required resources and support to team to perform and achieve desired results. Performance assessment and candid feedback to subordinates on regular basis to further improve performance.
• Preparation of skill matrix and identification of training needs for skill development

Quality Systems:

Implementation of WCM/ OHSAS through involvement of people in area of maintenance to improve standards & equipment performance
