Job summary

Rank & File in Thane (Kapurbawdi) urgently requires an Estimation Engineer for its reputed engineering co. The role involves preparing the design basis and estimation BOQ, issuing RFQs, and evaluating bids for FRP-based process equipment like heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, and storage tanks.

Candidates should have a Diploma/ Degree in Chem/ Mech or BSc-Physics with at least 2 years experience in design, estimation, proposals or tenders, and must read engineering drawings (AutoCAD)

Qualifications

• Min 2 years experience in design, estimation, proposals or tenders - preferably in similar process equipment / fabrication cos.
• Good understanding of and ability to read engg drawings (AutoCAD)
• Understanding of project/ product/ manufacturing costing
• Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized spreadsheet programs

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review the basic design, create the estimation BOQ
• Prepare & send out RFQ for (materials, vendors & subcontractors), follow-up, prepare technical evaluation sheet
• Prepare quotation comparison sheet
• Calculate the direct cost for each item by analyzing the item to its basics
• Calculate/assist in the calculation of other costs
• Participate in Cost Variance analysis and invoices.
• Assist in preparing responses to clarification requests by the client regarding the submitted tender
• Follow up of vendors & clients regarding inquiry & quotations
• Study the scope of work & tender document and prepare the tender review sheet

REQUIRED
