Job summary

Kshema General Insurance Limited seeks an Equity Research Analyst to join the Investment team in Hyderabad. You will perform in-depth fundamental research on equities, build financial models, and prepare investment notes to guide portfolio decisions.

The role requires strong knowledge of equity markets and valuation techniques, plus clear communication to fund managers and internal teams. Experience with insurance or financial services is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in equity research and investment analysis.
• Experience in insurance, mutual funds, PMS, AIFs or sell-side research preferred.
• Pursuing/completed CA/CFA/FRM will be an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Research & Analysis

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on equities, sectors, and markets, including analysis of financial statements, business models, valuation metrics, and macroeconomic indicators.
• Prepare financial models, forecasts, and investment notes to support fund manager in portfolio construction and investment decisions.
• Monitor equity markets and sectors to identify potential investment ideas and flag them to senior team members
• Track company developments, earnings announcements, corporate actions, and industry trends.
• Interact with company management, sell-side analysts, and other market participants to gather insights on business performance and investment potential.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of equity markets and valuation techniques.
• High level of analytical rigour with the ability to synthesize research into actionable investment insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with fund managers, brokers, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with IRDAI investment guidelines and regulatory frameworks (added advantage).
• Proficiency in financial tools and platforms such as Bloomberg, Excel, and trading systems.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work under tight market-driven deadlines

Qualifications & Experience/Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in equity research and investment analysis
• Experience within insurance , mutual funds , PMS, AIFs (regulated financial institutions) , sell-side research firms preferred
• Pursuing / completed professional qualifications such as CA / CFA / FRM will be an advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
