Job summary

Kalkine Consultancy is seeking an equity research professional to analyze stock market trends, identify investment opportunities and manage portfolio performance. The role involves drafting reports (buy/sell/hold), developing forecasts and supporting the research team across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities include data automation, report preparation, and timely publication of insights in alignment with business needs and Australian time zones.

Qualifications

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Must have experience in Equity research and drafting of reports (buy/sell/hold/expensive) under a diverse set of categories that entail income reports, growth, penny and resource reports, and dailies.
• Analyzing stock market trends globally, identifying stock investment opportunities and managing portfolio performance over & above the industry benchmark.
• These would pertain to diverse sectors (to name a few - energy and oil, materials, mining, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, biotechnology).
• Frequency is decided as per the requirement of the business.
• The timing for the report preparation, uploading, and release would vary depending on the type of respective report and in accordance with Australian time zone.
• Assisting the leadership team in providing insights for research streamlining, workflow management, and team development.
• Keeping a track of portfolio performance on a regular basis and conducting activities required for performance evaluation of equity portfolio.
• Catering to queries emanating from sales team and pertaining to client requirements.
• Performing other suitable activities based on the need of the hour (videos/ podcasts etc.) and requirement of the business.

Must provide required support for the seamless operations of the report handling, preparation, review and releases -

1. Reviewing and Managing reports prepared by Analysts
2. Data Automation and advance Excel understanding for Report preparation
3. Managing and/or Preparing Main/Topical reports that are to be released on daily basis depending on movement in the market.
4. Managing and/or preparing macro-economic reports/ industry overviews under newsletters based on requirement of the business.
5. Managing and/or Preparing Quick digest reports entailing any news items
6. Assisting and guiding the members of the Research team on any required work product as per the need of the business.
7. Uploading of ready to be released reports on company's portal.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, Report writing, Data analytics, Discounted Cash Flow Valuation, etc., preferably for stocks
• Must have expertise in using financial research databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Thomson)
• Must have strong command over Excel & Power point
• Must have analytical, multi-tasking, and persuasive mindset with growth orientated goals
• Strong Communication skills Written & Oral.
