Job summary

Share Brother Financial Services seeks a Research Analyst to conduct detailed equity and mutual fund research. You will analyse financial statements, track quarterly results, and evaluate companies on performance and valuation. You will prepare sector reports and monitor market trends while maintaining rigorous documentation.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of experience in investment research, strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, and a keen interest in the Indian markets and financial instruments.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
• About 3 years of experience in Equity Research or related fields preferred.
• Strong interest in Indian stock market, mutual funds, and investment research.
• Solid understanding of fundamental analysis and financial statements.
• Familiarity with valuation concepts (P/E, P/B, EV/EBITDA, ROE, ROCE).
• Proficient in MS Excel and Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research and analysis of listed companies, sectors, and industries.
• Analyse financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Study business models, management quality, growth prospects, and risks.
• Track quarterly results, investor presentations, annual reports, and corporate announcements.
• Conduct fundamental analysis and evaluate companies on performance, valuation, and risk.
• Monitor market trends, macro factors, and impact on investments.
• Prepare company and sector research reports with clear observations.
• Research Mutual Funds, AMCs, fund categories, and portfolio allocation.
• Compare mutual funds on performance, risk, expense ratio, and AUM.
• Update research views based on new developments; document properly.

Research Analyst

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research and analysis of listed companies, sectors, and industries.
• Analyse financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Study company business models, competitive positioning, management quality, growth prospects, and key business risks.
• Track quarterly results, investor presentations, annual reports, corporate announcements, and other relevant developments.
• Conduct fundamental analysis and evaluate companies based on financial performance, valuation, growth, and risk factors.
• Monitor market trends, sector developments, macroeconomic factors, and their potential impact on investments.
• Prepare company and sector research reports with clear investment observations.
• Conduct research on Mutual Funds, AMCs, fund categories, portfolio allocation, fund manager track record, performance, risk, and other relevant parameters.
• Compare mutual funds based on performance, risk-adjusted returns, expense ratio, AUM, portfolio quality, and consistency.
• Track existing investments/recommendations and regularly update research views based on new developments.
• Use Excel / Google Sheets and other financial research tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Present research findings and key insights to senior management and the investment/research team.
• Maintain proper documentation and research records.
• Ensure research is based on reliable sources and follows applicable internal processes and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Candidates with 03 years of experience in Equity Research, Mutual Fund Research, Investment Research, Financial Analysis, or related fields are preferred.
• Strong interest in Indian Stock Market, Mutual Funds, and Investment Research.
• Good understanding of fundamental analysis and financial statements.
• Basic knowledge of valuation concepts such as P/E, P/B, EV/EBITDA, ROE, ROCE, EPS, Revenue Growth, and Free Cash Flow.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to interpret financial data and convert it into clear research insights.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of financial information.
• Candidates pursuing or having relevant NISM certifications will be preferred.
• CFA / MBA Finance / CA / relevant financial-market qualifications will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should have a strong learning mindset and genuine interest in developing a career in investment research.
