Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech or Diploma/AMIE in Electrical.
• 17+ years in EPC with 10+ years in relevant detail/design across Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining, Petrochemicals.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

Work Summary

Seasoned Electrical Engineering Lead with 10+ years’ experience in EPC and detailed design projects across Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining, and Petrochemicals. Proven expertise in discipline leadership, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective engineering solutions while driving project execution within contractual, quality, and schedule frameworks.

Reports to Head of Department.

Acts as discipline lead engineer for proposals and projects.

Ensures safe, compliant, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective engineering design and execution.

Internal: HOD, discipline members, project/proposal managers, engineering manager, procurement, inspection, document control.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Practices: Develops, implements, and optimizes workflows, specs, KPIs.

Project Execution: Ensures compliance with manuals, quality deliverables, WBS completion, inter-discipline reviews, vendor deliverables, site query resolution.

Technical Community: Contributes to standards, specifications, seminars, training.

Competency Management: Mentors engineers, implements lessons learnt, stays updated with innovations.

Domain Knowledge Required (Electrical Engineering)

Strong in Electrical design: SLDs, substation/switchgear, grounding, lighting, cathodic protection, tracing systems.

Proficient in Electrical calculations: power balance, cable sizing, earthing, lighting, lightning protection.

Skilled in System studies: short circuit, load flow, motor starting, relay coordination.

Experienced in Layout engineering: hazardous area layouts, cable routing, conduit/tray sizing.

Familiar with International standards: NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, IEC, IS.

Education: BE/BTech/ME/MTech or Diploma/AMIE in Electrical.

Experience: Overall 17+ years in EPC, 10+ years (degree) / 15+ years (diploma) in EPC/detail design across Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining, Petrochemicals.

Soft Skills: Safety mindset, customer focus, performance management, interpersonal/teamwork, people management, proactive problem-solving, adaptability across cultures.

This role demands a seasoned electrical engineering leader with deep technical expertise, strong vendor/client interface skills, and proven ability to deliver projects within cost, schedule, and quality frameworks.
