Job summary

Integrated Personnel Services Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Engineer for industrial and chemical projects in Mumbai. You will lead electrical design activities, supervise a team of engineers, coordinate with clients and other disciplines, and ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of total electrical design experience, with at least 3 years in a lead role, and a First Class B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of total experience in Electrical Design.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Lead Electrical Engineer.
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with First Class.
• Experience in Industrial / Chemical projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and Designers for project activities.
• Handle complete electrical engineering activities for assigned projects.
• Prepare and review Basis of Design, Load Lists, SLDs, Layouts and MTOs.
• Perform/review electrical design calculations and ensure codes compliance.
• Design/review power distribution from 33kV/22kV down to 11kV/6.6kV/3.3kV/415V.
• Carry out transformer, DG, UPS and Battery Charger sizing.
• Review cable sizing and Cable Schedules.
• Prepare/review equipment specs, datasheets and package docs.
• Ensure drawings meet NBC, CEIG, Electricity Rules and standards.
• Coordinate with Projects, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Architecture, Vendors and Clients.
• Review TBE, tender documents, MTOs and ETAP studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Harmonics).
• Support technical queries and site issue resolution; participate in client meetings.
• Monitor schedule and mentor team members; ensure QMS compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and Designers for project electrical activities.
• Handle complete electrical engineering activities for assigned projects.
• Prepare and review Basis of Design, Load Lists, SLDs, Layouts and MTOs.
• Perform/review electrical design calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

• Review vendor documents, requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
• Review tender documents and MTOs.
• Review ETAP studies including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Arc Flash and Harmonics.
• Support resolution of technical queries and site issues.
• Participate in client-facing and critical project meetings.
• Monitor project schedule and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Ensure compliance with departmental work instructions and QMS requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong Electrical Design & Detail Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Indian and International Electrical Codes & Standards.
• ETAP – Load Flow, Short Circuit, Arc Flash and Harmonics.

Candidate Profile
