CIP Terra Technologies is seeking an EPC Director for its Mumbai, India office to oversee end-to-end delivery of renewable energy projects including onshore wind, solar and battery storage systems.

The role requires 15+ years in EPC leadership, construction management and project delivery with a strong focus on safety, compliance and commercial viability from development to handover.

Earlier this year, building on the solid foundation of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) as a fund manager, we introduced an optimized CIP Platform, with three platform companies providing services to CIP.

In our optimized CIP Platform, CIP Terra Technologies (CIP TT) – a project delivery company delivering projects from onshore wind, solar PV and battery energy storage systems, to bioenergy, thermal and transmission infrastructure – is currently looking for an EPC Director, to join our office in Mumbai, India

Role

The EPC Director will manage the end-to-end execution of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, and hybrid systems) from early-stage development through to construction and commissioning. This role is pivotal in ensuring technical robustness, regulatory compliance, and commercial viability from site identification while also overseeing the seamless transition from development to construction.

Responsibilities will further consist of:

• Lead the EPC workstream from late-stage development through FID / construction, commissioning and COD.
• Ensure EPC delivery is aligned with project schedule, budget, safety, quality and performance requirements.
• Build a delivery culture focused on safety, accountability, progress and issue resolution.
• Project Lifecycle Governance: Oversee utility-scale renewable projects (onshore wind, solar PV, and BESS) from initial design and grid interconnection through construction, testing, and final handover.
• Contract & EPC Oversight: Manage high-value Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, contractor relationships, change orders, and dispute resolutions.
• Budget & Schedule Control: Direct CAPEX/OPEX constraints, financial milestones, and timeline tracking to ensure projects deliver on target and within budget.
• Risk & Compliance Management: Identify and mitigate site execution, regulatory, environmental, and supply-chain bottlenecks.
• Team & Stakeholder Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary technical and commercial teams while coordinating smoothly with finance, legal, and local asset operators.
• HSE & ESG Governance: Instills a "Zero-Harm" safety culture and embeds sustainable, socially responsible, and strictly compliant ethical practices across the entire project delivery lifecycle

You

We are looking for 15+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy onshore wind, utility-scale solar, and/or storage systems with degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.

• Relevant experience in EPC leadership, construction management or owner-side project delivery from development / FID through construction and commissioning.

• Extensive experience: extensive experience in renewable energy development, including optimizing plant layout and design solutions based on site conditions, environmental constraints, and logistics.
• Demonstrated experience: managed the development of renewable energy projects from technical/engineering/procurement perspective with the projects reaching Financial Close and/or COD.
• Extensive commercial and procurement acumen, with ability to shape competitive, compliant bid strategies.
• Effective leadership: Conduct effective project leadership & team management
• Stakeholder management: can coordinate with partners and maintain key stakeholder relationships
• Good network: have an established network of industry professionals, consultants, contractors, and suppliers for various stages and scope of works of development activities.
• Great communication skills: Fluent in English with effective communication and presentation skills, including having ability to document project information and risks in a concise manner.
• Team-oriented: ability to take initiative and work efficiently and collaboratively within a lean team and manage different workstreams simultaneously.
