Job summary

NGL Fine Chem is seeking an experienced EHS leader to drive safety and environmental excellence at our Tarapur plant. The role focuses on building a culture of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading risk-based assessments across operations.

Responsibilities include conducting Hazop/HIRA, maintaining the Legal Register with the legal team, and performing internal audits and safety inspections to protect personnel, visitors, and contractors on site.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven experience in a plant Safety / EHS department.
• Strong expertise in regulatory compliance and hazard identification.
• Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and safety auditing.

Responsibilities

• Create safety and environmental awareness among all employees.
• Monitor plant EHS compliance and take corrective actions.
• Arrange Safety Committee meetings and follow up on actions/documentation.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Create safety and environmental awareness among all employees.
• Monitoring of EHS Compliance of the plant.
• To arrange Safety Committee Meeting & to do follow up of all action points & documentation.
• To assist legal team to maintain Legal Register & carrying out legal compliance evaluation.
• Conducting Hazop study, HIRA, Environment aspect & Impact withrespect of concern departments and evaluate the risk.
• Authorized to conduct the Safety Inspection, Internal Audit, random checks and to take action to ensure safety of all personnel, visitors and contractor at plant.

Preferred candidate profile

10+ years of proven experience in a plant Safety / EHS department. Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) is mandatory. Strong expertise in regulatory compliance, hazard identification, risk assessment methodologies, and safety auditing.
