Escon Gensets Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environment, health and safety across three manufacturing plants in Karnataka. You will build a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement of EHS systems and procedures.

The role requires coordinating with authorities, conducting audits, training, incident investigations, and developing metrics. You will mentor the EHS team and partner with plant management to achieve safety objectives.

Purpose of the Role.

The EHS Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) function across all company manufacturing facilities. The role requires establishing a strong safety culture, ensuring statutory compliance, developing EHS systems and procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities.

1. Lead and manage the EHS function for all three manufacturing plants.
2. Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, SOPs, and work instructions in line with legal and organizational requirements.
3. Ensure effective implementation and adherence to all EHS SOPs, standards, and safety protocols across the plants.
4. Monitor compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
5. Assess the existing EHS requirements and, if required, recommend, establish, and develop an appropriate EHS team to effectively manage EHS operations across all locations.
6. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification studies.
7. Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
8. Drive safety awareness programs, employee training, toolbox talks, and behavioral safety initiatives.
9. Establish and monitor EHS performance metrics and prepare periodic reports for management review.
10. Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, mock drills, and crisis management activities.
11. Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, auditors, and certification agencies on EHS matters.
12. Ensure effective waste management, pollution control, and environmental sustainability practices across all plants.
13. Lead and mentor the EHS team and support plant management in achieving EHS objectives.
