Job summary

Sonata Software in India is seeking an Entra ID Customer Engineer with deep expertise in SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises to guide customers toward secure, scalable Microsoft solutions.

You will collaborate with customer teams, leverage MIP engagements, and apply RBAC, authentication models, Azure AD features, and Graph API knowledge to design and implement enterprise‑scale identity and access architectures.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience with SharePoint and Microsoft technologies.
• Strong hands-on and architectural experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale SharePoint solutions.

Job Summary

As a Customer Engineer, you will collaborate directly with customer teams to provide expert advisory services across a range of technologies. By leveraging structured intellectual property (MIP) engagements, you will establish trusted advisor relationships and guide customers towards achieving a healthy and secure state.

Qualifications & Required Skills

• 15+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in SharePoint and Microsoft technologies.
• Strong hands-on and architectural experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale SharePoint solutions.
• This role requires deep knowledge (300 - 400 level) in the following technology areas:
• Entra ID - Role Base Access Control (RBAC), Account Management (User Accounts, Service Principals), Group Management, Entra ID Enterprise Application Management, Authentication Models (Cloud Auth (PTA/PHS), Federation, Protocols - OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, Kerberos, FIDO2 / Passkeys), Device Management (Hybrid Join, AADJ), Account Synchronization (Entra ID Connect, Entra Cloud Sync), Azure P1/P2 Features (Conditional Access - MFA, Risk based policies, Reporting, Troubleshooting, Self-service Password Reset (SSPR), Entra Password Protection - Policy configuration, Integration with Active Directory, Entra ID Governance - Privileged Identity Management, Periodic Reviews, Self-Service Access Reviews, Compliance audits), Entra ID Protection, Management - Microsoft Graph API foundational knowledge
