Job summary

D-tech Management Resource is seeking an experienced quality professional for its steel manufacturing QA/QC operations in India. The role covers control across Cold Rolling Mill, Pickling Line, Annealing and slitting line, with emphasis on inline inspections and ISO-compliant systems.

The candidate will develop and implement SOPs, lead the Quality Management System, and drive continuous improvements to meet cost, quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC of Cold Rolling Mill, Pickling Line, Annealing and slitting line.
• Knowledge of ISO and quality management systems.
• Develop and update SOPs regularly.
• Lead QA function and train team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality Management System and update procedures.
• Ensure quality strategies meet objectives for price, quality and delivery.
• Implement new quality processes and systems.
• Assist in continuous improvement and prevention of issues.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities :-

Experience in Quality Assurance & Quality Control of, Cold Rolling Mill, Pickling Line, Annealing and slitting line.

Quality aspects related to Cold roll Mill precision stainless steel strips manufacturing

Process control of Cold Rolling Mill, Pickling Line, Annealing and slitting line by making and updating SOP (Safe operating procedure) regularly.

Inline checking of Mill products like dimensional checking, surface checking (guide mark, roll mark, scratch, roughness, dent, BURR impression, line mark, sticky mark, rust spot, pitting mark etc),

Sound knowledge of implementation of Quality Management Systems like ISO etc, handling audits and compliances

Responsible for all areas of the Quality function and provide support within Operations. Lead and develop the Quality Management system, updating procedures and train team members where required

Ensure that quality strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market and in a sustained manner

Implement new quality processes and systems where appropriate

Assist in continuous improvement activities throughout the business ensuring that problems are prevented and that customer requirements are met with any problems resolved effectively and

economically

Tensile Testing :-

Hardness Testing by Rockwell & Vickers hardness testing machine Microstructure checking by Optical microscope Erich Cupping Test.
