Assystem in India is seeking a senior Hydrology & Drainage Lead to manage projects across infrastructure, transportation, urban development, and water resources. The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering on time and within budget from Bengaluru/Delhi offices.

Applicants should have 10–15+ years in hydrology/drainage, with leadership experience and proficiency in InfoWorks ICM, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE, GIS, and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Civil/Water/Environmental Engineering; Master’s preferred.
  • 10–15+ years in hydrology and drainage; 3–5 years in leadership/project management.
  • Advanced modeling software skills; GIS & Civil 3D proficiency.
  • Preferred certifications: PE, CEng, PMP, CIWEM.

Responsibilities

  • Direct hydrology & drainage studies, stormwater/flood risk assessments, watershed analysis, and hydraulic modeling.
  • Review designs for drainage networks, culverts, ponds, channels, SuDS/LID.
  • Oversee proposals to completion, manage schedules, budgets, risks, and coordinate with civil, highways, water, GIS, and structures teams.
  • Mentor engineers/modelers, allocate resources, conduct reviews, and support recruitment.
  • Act as primary client contact, present findings, build relationships, and support business development.
  • Ensure standards, QA/QC, safety, and environmental compliance.

Assystem Safety & Risk delivers an integrated and cost-effective service that includes Safety Case, Human & Organisational Factors (HOF), Risk & Reliability (Including Probabilistic Safety Assessment), Security & Resilience, and Process Safety.

We use deterministic and probabilistic techniques to help our clients to assess the risk associated with facilities and activities and confirm that risks are reduced to a level that is As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).

Role Summary
