Job summary

Assystem is seeking a qualified engineer to plan, design, and develop water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects in India. You will work on transmission mains, distribution networks, pumping stations, WTPs, STPs and associated civil, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

You will perform hydraulic calculations, develop drawings and reports, and ensure compliance with Indian standards, CPHEEO manual, and environmental regulations. A background in municipal projects and tendering is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; Diploma with higher experience considered.
• Typically 3–10 years of experience in water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and develop water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects including transmission systems, distribution networks, pumping stations, WTPs, STPs, and associated civil, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and network modeling using industry software (WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, SewerCAD).
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, profiles, and schematics; prepare design reports, calculations, BOQs and technical specs.
• Ensure compliance with CPHEEO Manual, IS codes and environmental regulations, and adhere to tendering procedures.

Job Description

Job Purpose

To plan, design, and develop water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects including transmission systems, distribution networks, pumping stations, water treatment plants (WTPs), sewer networks, sewage treatment plants (STPs), and associated civil, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. The role ensures compliance with applicable standards, technical specifications, environmental regulations, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Design

• Prepare engineering designs for water supply and sewerage systems.
• Design water transmission mains, distribution networks, sewer networks, pumping stations, reservoirs, WTPs, and STPs.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and network modeling using industry software (watergem, sewergem).
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, profiles, and schematics.
• Prepare design reports, calculations, BOQs, and technical specifications.

Technical Skills

• Hydraulic design of water supply and sewerage networks.
• Water treatment and wastewater treatment process knowledge.
• Preparation of engineering drawings and design documentation.
• Proficiency in:

Knowledge Requirements

Qualifications

Experience

• Experience in municipal infrastructure, urban development, AMRUT, Jal Jeevan Mission, Smart City, or sewerage projects is desirable.
