Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Senior Hydrology Lead to head hydrology, stormwater, flood risk, and drainage projects across infrastructure, transportation, urban development, and water resources. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical excellence, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Based in Bengaluru/Delhi, the role requires 10–15+ years in hydrology, strong modeling software skills, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil/Water/Environmental Engineering; Hydrology focus preferred.
• 10–15+ years in hydrology and drainage; 3–5 years in leadership or PM roles.
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, flood risk, watershed analysis.
• Advanced modeling software skills; GIS and Civil 3D proficiency; certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrology, drainage, and flood-risk projects across infrastructure and urban development.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules, budgets, and client engagements.
• Review designs, ensure QA/QC, safety, and environmental compliance.

Job Description

Location: Bengaluru / Delhi

Role Summary

Lead hydrology, stormwater, flood risk, and drainage projects across infrastructure, transportation, urban development, and water resources. Manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical excellence, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Direct hydrology & drainage studies, stormwater/flood risk assessments, watershed analysis, and hydraulic modeling. Review designs for drainage networks, culverts, ponds, channels, SuDS/LID.
• Project Management: Oversee proposals to completion, manage schedules, budgets, risks, and coordinate with civil, highways, water, GIS, and structures teams.
• Team Leadership: Mentor engineers/modelers, allocate resources, conduct reviews, and support recruitment.
• Modeling Expertise: Guide use of InfoWorks ICM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE11/21, Civil 3D, ArcGIS.
• Client Engagement: Act as primary contact, present findings, build relationships, and support business development.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure standards, QA/QC, safety, and environmental compliance.

• 10–15+ years in hydrology/drainage; 3–5 years in leadership/project management.
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, flood risk, watershed analysis.
• Advanced modeling software skills; GIS & Civil 3D proficiency.
• Preferred certifications: PE, CEng, PMP, CIWEM.
