Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related.
• 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 3+ years leading QA teams.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java-based automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, RestAssured, or equivalent.
• Proven experience with API testing, automation architecture, and CI/CD integration.
• Experience testing enterprise SaaS products in BFSI/fintech domain.
• Strong understanding of defect management, test planning, release management, and quality engineering best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance technical leadership with people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Manual and Automation QA Engineers.

• Own end-to-end product quality across web apps, APIs, backend services, and integrations.
• Drive shift-left testing by partnering with Product, Engineering, and DevOps.
• Ensure testing is integrated into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Own and evolve automation frameworks using Java and modern testing technologies.
• Continuously improve automation coverage while reducing manual testing.
• Champion API, integration, regression, functional, and end-to-end automation.
• Introduce AI-assisted testing and development tools to improve productivity.

We’re looking for an experienced QA Manager to lead our Quality Engineering function and build a world-class quality culture across our products. In this role, you’ll lead a team of manual and automation QA engineers, define quality strategy, and ensure every release meets the highest standards of reliability, security, and compliance.

This is a leadership role requiring a strong technical foundation in automation, deep experience with fintech or BFSI products, and the ability to scale people, processes, and quality practices in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Manual and Automation QA Engineers.
• Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and career development.
• Establish quality ownership and engineering excellence across the QA organization.

Quality Strategy & Delivery

• Define and execute the organization’s QA strategy, testing standards, release gates, and quality processes.
• Own end-to-end product quality across web applications, APIs, backend services, and platform integrations.
• Drive shift-left testing practices by partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams.
• Ensure testing is integrated seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

Automation & Technical Excellence

• Own and evolve automation frameworks using Java and modern testing technologies.
• Continuously improve automation coverage while optimizing manual testing efforts.
• Champion API, integration, regression, functional, and end-to-end automation.
• Introduce AI-assisted testing and development tools to improve productivity, test generation, and defect detection.

Fintech Quality Assurance

• Ensure comprehensive validation of credit and payment workflows, including:
  • Credit line management
  • Card lifecycle management
  • Transaction processing
  • Authorization and settlement
  • Reconciliation
  • Interest and fee calculations
  • Collections and repayments
• Validate regulatory, audit, security, and compliance requirements across financial workflows.
• Define and track engineering quality metrics including:
  • Defect leakage
  • Automation coverage
  • Release quality
  • Test execution time
  • Escaped defects
  • Test effectiveness
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teams.

The Perfect Fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 3+ years of experience leading and managing QA teams.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java-based automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, RestAssured, or equivalent.
• Proven experience with API testing, automation architecture, and CI/CD integration.
• Experience testing enterprise SaaS products in the BFSI or fintech domain.
• Strong understanding of defect management, test planning, release management, and quality engineering best practices.

• Experience working with credit card platforms, issuer processors, lending platforms, or digital payment systems.

• Experience with performance, security, and compliance testing for financial applications.
• Prior experience working in a high-growth startup or product company.
