Job summary

Recro is seeking a QA Engineer to join its fast-growing FinTech product environment in Bengaluru. You will own end-to-end quality assurance across web, mobile and backend services, balancing manual and automation testing to deliver reliable digital financial products.

You will design and maintain automation tests, review requirements for quality risks, and collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Manual + Automation Testing.
• Experience testing Web, Mobile and Backend/API applications.
• Experience with automation frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Appium, Detox, TestNG.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute end-to-end quality assurance across web, mobile and backend services.
• Perform both manual and automation testing across functional, API, E2E, regression and integration scenarios.
• Design, develop and maintain reliable automation tests using appropriate frameworks and tools.
• Review product requirements, specifications and technical designs and identify quality risks early.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, document issues clearly and work with developers to resolve.
• Perform thorough regression and validation testing for resolved defects and new releases.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage and CI/CD practices.
• Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, Designers and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new testing tools, frameworks and methodologies to improve engineering quality.

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a fast-growing FinTech product environment and play a key role in building high-quality, reliable and scalable digital financial products.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys going beyond traditional testing - someone who can think from a customer's perspective, dive deep into technical problems, build meaningful automation, and work closely with Engineering and Product teams to deliver quality at scale.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 3-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience in Manual + Automation Testing.
• Experience testing Web, Mobile and Backend/API applications.
• Hands-on experience with one or more automation frameworks/tools such as:
• Selenium, Appium, Detox, TestNG or similar.
• Strong understanding of API testing, E2E testing and regression testing.
• Experience working with SQL/MySQL and scripting.
• Good understanding of CI/CD and continuous integration concepts.
• Exposure to DevOps and AWS will be an added advantage.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving ability with a focus on identifying the root cause, not just reporting defects.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, Agile product teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• FinTech / Payments / Banking / Financial Services experience is highly preferred.
• Good command of English.
