Job summary

Fairmont Udaipur Palace invites a proactive Engineering Manager to lead our pre-opening facilities and infrastructure operations in a luxury setting.

You will oversee electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and safety systems, plan preventive maintenance, and coordinate with other departments to ensure guest comfort and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering field.
• Experience in hotel engineering or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Engineering Department.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Lead, guide, and train engineering team members.
• Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance requirements and guest-related concerns.
• Manage engineering contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and inspections.
• Monitor energy and water consumption and implement conservation measures.
• Assist in renovation, refurbishment, and new engineering projects.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and identify potential maintenance issues.
• Ensure proper inventory and availability of engineering tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure the team follows all safety procedures.
