Job summary

The WIKA Group in Chennai, India, seeks a procurement/engineering professional with 5 years of experience in mechanical or electronics to drive new component development, supplier qualification, and cost monitoring. You will oversee subcontracting, review returns and support KPI-driven cost reductions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work to obtain ROHS declarations, negotiate with suppliers and ensure timely approvals.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in procurement, engineering or related roles.
• BE in Mechanical or Electronics with good communication skills.
• Experience in supplier qualification, cost monitoring and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop new components and work as part of a cross-functional team for new projects.
• Obtain global formats and ROHS declarations for vendor qualification.
• Compute component costs and seek approvals after supplier negotiations.
• Monitor supplier quality, track KPIs and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Oversee subcontracting processes and review purchase returns with accounts.
• Coordinate cross-functional procurement of materials to meet KPI targets.

• New component development Work as CFT member for New Projects Obtaining the relevant global formats duly signed from
• supplier with ROHS declaration for vendor qualification
• Work out the cost of the components developed and put up for approval after negotiating for finalization Vendor quality
• performance monitoring/updating and work towards the reduction of incoming PPM Overall in charge of subcontracting process
• of components and tool room subcontracting
• Cross functional procurement of materials Work on cost reduction projects as per KPI Review of Purchase returns / supplier
• rejections and advice to accounts for raising debit notes to suppliers
