Job summary

Thejo Engineering in Chennai is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 2–6 years of experience to lead technical proposals, support costing, and coordinate with customers and internal teams. The role focuses on ensuring accurate technical documentation and timely submissions.

You will gather data from clients, prepare drawings and QAPs, handle RFQs, and contribute to product improvement and new development initiatives.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 2–6 years' experience in technical support, project management, costing & estimation.
• Experience in technical proposal preparation, customer coordination, engineering drawings, QAP, RFQ handling, and estimation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse technical data to prepare accurate technical proposals.
• Provide inputs for estimation and costing, and support timely submissions.
• Coordinate with BDMs and clients for approvals of drawings, QAPs and technical documents.
• Coordinate with Design Team to prepare and submit drawings to factory for execution.
• Attend RFQs and prepare datasheets and other technical documentation within timelines.
• Identify and suggest ideas for product improvement, innovation and new product development.
• Conduct site audits to assess technical requirements and prepare detailed audit reports.
• Maintain effective coordination with Sales, Design, Estimation, Factory and other functions for smooth execution of customer requirements.

• Provide necessary technical inputs for the estimation and costing process and support timely submission of commercial/technical proposals.
• Coordinate with BDMs and clients for timely approval of drawings, QAPs and other technical documents.
• Coordinate with the Design Team and ensure timely preparation, approval and submission of drawings to the factory for execution.
• Attend to RFQs, prepare technical proposals, datasheets and other required technical documentation within agreed timelines.
• Identify and suggest new ideas for product improvement, innovation and new product development.
• Conduct site audits to assess technical requirements, identify improvement opportunities and prepare detailed audit reports.
• Maintain effective coordination with Sales, Design, Estimation, Factory and other relevant functions to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in Technical Support, Project Management, Costing & Estimation, or related functions.
• Candidates with experience in technical proposal preparation, customer coordination, engineering drawings, QAP, RFQ handling, and estimation will be preferred.

Salary will commensurate with experience & current salary.
