Job summary

Eaton in Pune seeks an experienced Quality/Supplier Quality Engineer to drive COPQ recovery and DMR processes within the Global Supply Chain. You will lead data-driven supplier analyses, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure timely 8D closures while maintaining quality standards.

The role requires 6–10 years in supplier quality or data analytics, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Shift flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

• BE/BE-like degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Production) or equivalent.
• 6–10 years of experience in supplier quality or data analytics roles.

Responsibilities

• Function as an individual contributor and as part of the Quality CoE within the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence, Pune.
• Collaborate with Eaton sites and suppliers to monitor cost of poor quality and drive recovery and COPQ improvements.
• Process invoices, track recovery status, and update master trackers for timely business reviews.
• Negotiate with suppliers to optimize COPQ costs and reduce refund fees.
• Lead or support 8D investigations using structured problem-solving methods and quality tools.
• Analyze supplier quality data to identify root causes and drive sustainable performance improvements.
• Coordinate between suppliers and cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations) to close gaps and speed closures.
• Adapt to evolving business requirements and handle ad hoc requests with high-quality deliverables.

What You’ll Do

Function as an individual contributor and as part of the Quality CoE within the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence, Pune mainly work with Business Quality team on DMR closure and Chargeback (DMR fee+COPQ Recovery) process. This is to be done with Problem solving approach, data analysis / reports / data collection and a specific supplier quality related projects.

• Closely work with Eaton sites and Suppliers to track and monitor the cost of poor quality of the supplier and get the approval in to the system and recovery from the suppliers
• Review and verify invoices and check the status of the recovery and Updatation into the master trackers and present to business on timely basis.
• Responsible of processing transactions related to DMR Chargeback processes like Debit Memo Creation into Finance ERP system
• Do negotiations with suppliers for tracking the COPQ cost effectively and minimize the refund fees.
• Evaluation and timely closure of supplier-related 8D investigations by effectively applying structured problem-solving methodologies and quality tools.
• Analyze supplier quality issues using data-driven insights to identify root causes and drive sustainable supplier performance improvements.
• Act as a key coordinator between suppliers and cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations, to clarify requirements, eliminate gaps in communication, and improve closure speed and accuracy.
• Understand evolving business and customer requirements and ensure quick turnaround on ad hoc requests while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Experience Level

• Minimum 6 -10 Years of experience as Supplier quality Engineer or data analyst or in quality domain.
