Job summary

RGBSI in Bangalore is seeking a Supplier QA Technical Lead Engineer (COTS) to drive quality across OEM suppliers and lead strategic CI initiatives. You will manage PR, NCx, and FA processes while partnering with global stakeholders to meet quality metrics.

The role requires a Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical/Production/Electrical/Electronics Engineering and 6–8 years of relevant experience, with hands-on knowledge of OEM manufacturing, 8D, GD&T, MSA, SPC, and Power BI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Production/Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience for Bachelors/Masters degree.
  • Knowledge of OEM component manufacturing processes and related parts (manometers, pumps, regulators, valves, manifolds, sensor assemblies).
  • Experience with 8D problem-solving, GD&T, MSA, SPC, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commodity operational activities (PR, NCx, and FA) to meet global leadership expectations.
  • Handle critical customer issues and devise preventive actions to avoid repeats.
  • Drive projects to standardize best practices across OEM suppliers and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and globally to implement strategies and communicate across engineering levels.

Position: Supplier QA Technical Lead Engineer (COTS)

Educational qualification: Bachelors/Masters degree in Mech/Prod/Electrical/Electronics Engineering

Years of Experience: Bachelors degree /Masters with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience

Primary Responsibilities

This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting into the leader of Supplier Quality Manager in India, and closely working with Supplier and Global stakeholders (Supply Chain, Product Group, Manufacturing). This individual would be responsible for managing and executing strategical projects, continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and meet Project/Quality metrics of COTS/OEM commodity. Individuals primary job responsibilities are listed below:

  • Manage complete commodity operational activities (PR,NCx and FA process) to meet Global SET leadership expectations.
  • Responsible for handling critical customer issues and come up with innovative ideas to avoid repeats.
  • Drive projects to streamline and standardize the best practices across the assigned OEM suppliers to proactively to reduce the risk.
  • Collaborate cross functionally and globally to execute strategies. Clearly communicate across engineering specializations and different levels of the organization for strategy implementation.
Mandatory Skills required to perform the job
  • Knowledge on OEM component manufacturing process and functions like, Manometers, Pumps Regulators, Valves, Manifolds, Sensor assemblies, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with Power BI, 8D problem-solving methodology, GD&T symbols, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) practiced at supplier end.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams. Experience working in a dynamic, and fast paced business environment to execute the project and meet deliverables.
  • Hands on experience in coordinating with supplier and other stake holders to drive root cause and corrective action to meet customer expectations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Prior experience with MS office tools (ppt, excel, project), statistical tools (JMP, Minitab etc.)
  • Develop best practices/best known methods (BKMs) to improve the process
  • Experience in handling suppliers from remote location
  • Hands on experience in any ERP tools like SAP, Oracle
  • Project Management certification like PMP
