Job summary

QH Talbros Limited, a leading Tier-1 automotive supplier, invites an Engineer/Sr. Engineer for the Metallurgy lab. The role requires a B.Tech in Metallurgy or Mechanical Eng and 4–7 years in automotive manufacturing.

You will perform material testing, calibration, and reporting, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance across labs in Gurgaon and nearby plants. You will work with Production, Quality, and R&D teams, maintain lab records, and support continuous improvement initiatives in line

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Metallurgy/Mechanical Eng required.
• 4–7 years automotive manufacturing experience.
• Experience in laboratory testing and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional measurement and inspection of components.
• Operate and maintain hardness testers and spectrometers.
• Conduct chemical analysis of materials as per standards.
• Analyze results and prepare lab reports.
• Ensure compliance with IATF16949 and ISO standards.
• Coordinate with Production, QA and R&D teams for testing.
• Maintain lab records and calibration docs.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Education:

B.Tech in Metallurgy / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.

Relevant certifications in Quality, Metrology, or Material Testing will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional measurement and inspection of components using laboratory and metrology equipment.
• Operate and maintain Hardness Testers, Spectrometers, Microscope, Salt Spray Chamber and other laboratory instruments .
• Conduct chemical analysis of raw materials and finished products as per defined standards.
• Analyze test results and prepare inspection and laboratory reports.
• Monitor and verify material properties in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory testing procedures, calibration requirements, and quality standards.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to material and quality issues.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and R&D teams for testing and validation activities.
• Maintain laboratory records, reports, and calibration documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO standards, and customer-specific requirements.

Technical Skills Required

• Hands-on experience with Hardness Tester and Spectrometer, Microscope and Salt Spray Chamber, etc. .
• Strong knowledge of Chemical, Micro Analysis and Material Testing.
• Good understanding of Heat Treatment Processes and related quality parameters.
• Knowledge of Metallurgical Testing and Interpretation of results.
• Understanding of Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Calibration, and GD&T.
• Proficiency in preparing technical reports and analysis documentation.
• Familiarity with Automotive Quality Systems (IATF 16949).
