Job summary

Wipro Infrastructure Engineering in India is seeking an experienced engineer to support shop floor requirements and planning for fixtures, gauges, and tooling. The role involves reading drawings, coordinating calibration, and leading a small team to ensure timely assembly.

The candidate should have 4-6 years of hands-on experience with fixtures, tooling, AutoCAD and SAP, with a proactive approach to supplier liaison and quality resolution on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant shop floor experience.
• Hands-on experience with fixtures, tooling and calibration.
• Knowledge of readings and interpretation of engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support shop floor with PE requirements to meet timelines.
• Study drawings to plan fixtures, gauges and tooling.
• Maintain Gauge Room with regular calibration.
• Resolve critical quality issues in assembly.
• Lead the self-management team to meet SQPDCME targets.
• Train new team members.
• Prepare, review and update WI, SOP, OPL & Skill matrix.

Key Skills Required

• Knowledge of reading & Understand Engineering drawing Machining, Assembly Process
• Knowledge about Assembly Process. Assy Fixtures Tooling's Etc
• Hands on Experience on design & Drawing of Fixtures, Tooling’s Etc
• Hands on Experience of AutoCAD drawing is must, Knowledge on SAP
• Knowledge of Gauges and Instruments, Calibration and maintaining of Gauges
• Procurement of Gauges, Instrument, Assembly fixtures and negotiating with supplier etc
• Strong follow up with supplier get material on time to fulfil internal customer.

Other Skills Required

• Able to take the responsibility of PE requirements to support Shop floor on time proactively.
• Study the drawings and plan for Fixtures, Gauges and other Assy tooling's etc to fulfil shop requirement
• Handle & Maintain Gauge Room with Calibration as per Frequency.
• Resolve the critical quality issues related to Assembly and other.
• Leading the Self-management team and achieve the SQPDCME Targets.
• Train the new team members.
• Preparation, Review & updating of WI, SOP, OPL & Skill matrix etc.
