Job summary

RUJ & SRM is seeking a skilled NPD Machine Setter/Engineer in Jaipur to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings, perform GD&T inspections, and program CAM tools for CNC turning and milling operations.

You will set up machines, run first-off samples, and generate setup sheets, time studies, and NPD documentation. The role requires diploma or B.Tech in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience with Mazatrol/Mastercam.

Qualifications

• Reading 2D/3D drawings and interpreting tolerances.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and inspection principles.
• Hands-on CAM programming using Mastercam or Mazatrol/Mazak.
• Proficient in manual G-code/M-code for CNC Turning & VMC/HMC.
• Ability to select cutting tools, inserts and process parameters.
• Review drawings for manufacturability and feasibility of production.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC/VMC/HMC machines and run first-off samples.
• Prepare tool lists, setup sheets and time studies.
• Handover approved samples to production after QA review.
• Maintain basic Excel sheets for setup tracking and reporting.

Key Job Requirements

• Drawing Reading: Expert in reading 2D/3D Mechanical Engineering drawings.
• GD&T: Strong practical understanding of GD&T and inspection tools.
• CAM Programming: Hands-on experience with Mastercam or Mazatrol (Mazak).
• Manual ISO Programming: Proficient in manual G-code/M-code for CNC Turning & VMC/HMC.
• Tooling Selection: Able to select cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters.
• Feasibility Study: Reviewing drawings to check manufacturability before production.
• Machine Setting & Operations: Setting up CNC/VMC/HMC machines, running machines personally to produce first-off sample parts, and completing development batch orders.
• NPD Documentation: Preparing Tool Lists, Setup Sheets, and Time Study Reports.
• Production Handover: Getting sample approval from Quality and handing over to Production.
• MS Excel: Basic Excel knowledge for tracking setup sheets, time studies, and reports.
