Job summary

Talent Hired-the Job Store is seeking a skilled CNC and manufacturing specialist to set up and optimize crankshaft machining lines in Pune. You will program Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi controls, develop tooling, interpret drawings with GD&T, and drive process improvements across productivity and quality.

Responsibilities include line balancing, SOPs, cycle-time reduction, and end-to-end project handover, leveraging Industry 4.0 concepts and advanced measurement techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting up CNC turning, milling and grinding operations.
• Ability to interpret drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of induction hardening, tempering, Industry 4.0 and IoT is a plus.
• Familiarity with crankshaft/camshaft machining processes.
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Machine & Process Setup

• Set up and prove out CNC turning, milling and grinding machines.
• Select cutting tools/inserts and develop work-holding, jigs and fixtures.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Basic knowledge of induction hardening, tempering, Industry 4.0 and IoT.

Crankshaft Machining

• Set up and operate CNC angular, plunge, orbital and journal grinding machines.
• Program and optimize Fanuc/Siemens CNC using G-code, M-code and macros.
• Knowledge of fillet rolling, dynamic balancing and super-finishing processes.

Quality & Process Capability

• Conduct Cp/Cpk, SPC and process capability studies.
• Perform first-part inspection using precision measuring instruments.
• Analyze CMM, Adcole, Taylor Hobson and other inspection reports.
• Identify and correct dimensional, geometric and surface-finish deviations.

Productivity & Project Management

• Optimize cutting parameters, tool paths and cycle time.
• Support line balancing, bottleneck reduction and process improvements.
• Prepare SOPs, cycle-time sheets and manufacturing feasibility plans.
• Support new product development, project scheduling and end-to-end project handover.

Technical Skills

• CNC programming and troubleshooting; Fanuc, Siemens and Mitsubishi controls.
• Troubleshooting of CNC, HMC, VMC, SPM, grinding, balancing, super-finishing, robotic washing, gantry and heat-treatment equipment.
• Knowledge of crankshaft/camshaft machining processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
