We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Based on the test requirement, prepare a Flight Test plan, test procedures, Flight Test cards and Flight Readiness Review documents as per industrial standards
- Evaluate aircraft flight worthiness/readiness; work in the recommended manufacturing/flight control areas to prepare a flight-ready aircraft
- Prepare pre-flight checklists based on test requirements to ensure mission readiness and flight safety
- Being a flight crew member, get involved in any activities (technical/ non-technical) necessary to make a test aircraft airborne
- Closely work with all the Flight Test crew members to identify, track, report any flight test events happening on ground or in air and prepare a debrief report
- Work on instrumentation, sensors, data gathering processes and methodologies
Must have skills
- Have good knowledge to interpret aircraft performance and behavior
- Have the ability to prepare a flight test plan based on the test requirements
- Have the ability to identify and develop test cases for performance studies
- Have good knowledge of Ground Control Station (GCS) software and be capable of planning flight missions based on test requirements
- Have the ability to support and manage on‑field activities that include aircraft integration and ground testing of systems
- Have the ability to work as an internal pilot

- Have the ability to troubleshoot field failures and implement corrections in the above systems and operations
Good to have skills
- Knowledge on FCUs like Pixhawk, MicroPilot, Veronte and relevant systems
- Fixed Wing and/or Multirotor platform piloting skills
- Basic prototyping/manufacturing skills
- Have exposure in aeromodelling activities
- Possess good problem-solving, time management, critical thinking and communication skills
