Job Description
This role for Proposal Engineer Filtration systems will be responsible for complex techno-commercial offers support to global sales/customers. Responsible for quality and On Time Delivery (OTD) of the techno commercial offers prepared. Resolve TQ & CQ until order is resulted.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing inquiries, make correct product selection inline with customer needs & global standard.
- Studying Customer RFQ and project specifications, prepare comments - deviation sheet, product datasheet and costing sheet for filter and/or entire filtration systems.
- Manage KPI in terms of On time delivery (OTD) and Quality of the outputs.
- Ensure compliance with proposal process and outputs from proposal team.
- Co‑ordinate with various global cross functional teams (CZ Plant/CoE/JVEL) for getting results.
- Participate in technical as well as commercial discussions with sales offices or customers.
- Keep focus on opportunities of improvements through SES tool to improve KPIs.
- Follow regular inquiry review meetings, Daily accountability (DAM) meetings.
- Ensure efficient support to sales offices and Business Development force.
- Working on nonstandard / Standard – First Fit & spares inquiries with complex requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure meet the business expectations in terms of On time delivery (OTD) Cost and quality outputs.
- Support Sales / BDMs / Junior engineers about engineering process & products.
- Make sure error free quotation preparation, Clean & Clear order handover to execution team.
- Responsible timely support for SAP quotes, correct price estimation for technical requirements.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures (Smiths values and Leadership behaviours).
- To use Engineering tools and perform correct nonstandard standard product selection calculation.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and prepare Corrective Actions using SES problem solving tools.
- Build and maintain good rapport with sales and internal customers to meet their business requirements.
- Should actively contribute to Continuous Improvements in their day-to-day work.
- To maintain designated records in‑line with process requirement
- Support Global Engineering strategic initiatives as required
- Promote a positive work environment and culture in accordance with the ‘Smiths Way’.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent with minimum 5+ years of experience
- Technical proposal / application engineering.
- Pressure Vessels, Thermodynamics
- Time management
- Self-discipline
- Work in International environment
