Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an intelligent QA Engineer to contribute to manual verification and validation across its monitoring products. The role focuses on testing peripherals like IS-UNITY, RDU devices, and rack PDUs with an emphasis on protocol testing and regression cycles.

You will own test cases, evidence, and documentation while collaborating with project leads and senior engineers in an Agile environment. A solid electronics/IT background and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics / Computers / IT or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of manual software testing experience in embedded domains.
• Experience with SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, RS485, and network protocols like IPv4/IPv6/TCP/IP/HTTP/HTTPS.
• Hands-on lab setup, device connectivity and basic troubleshooting experience.
• Familiar with defect management tools and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Support manual verification and validation for Vertiv Monitoring Products.
• Execute functional, regression, system-level and protocol-based tests.
• Log defects, provide test evidence, and participate in retests.
• Contribute to test case execution, lab setup, and test documentation.
• Help improve manual test coverage and regression cycles.

Brief Job Description

Bachelors Engineering degree in Electronics / Computers / IT

• 3-4 Years' relevant experience of manual software test in various embedded system domains
• Experience with at least one of the following communication protocols: SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, RS485
• Experience with at least one of the following Network protocols: IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS
• Hands-on understanding of lab setup activities including device connectivity, network configuration and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong testing process knowledge, Defect management, participation in causal analysis
• Hands-on experience with defect management tools such as Rally, JIRA and Bugzilla and test management tools such as TestRail.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ownership of assigned tests, timelines, and quality of documentation
• Basic Linux/Windows troubleshooting and packet-capture tools (e.g. Wireshark)
• Hands on Experience in AI chatbot
• Experience developing with Python or C# is plus
• Able to self-aligned with project and organization goals
• ISTQB Certification is Plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English

Additional / Preferred Qualifications

The Engineer will be responsible for supporting manual verification and validation activities for Vertiv Monitoring Products, including communication cards such as IS-UNITY, RDU101, RDU120, Rack PDUs, and other supported monitoring devices. The role involves executing functional, regression, system-level, and protocol-based test cases under the guidance of the project lead or senior engineers. He / She will contribute to test case execution, test evidence preparation, defect logging, retesting, lab setup, device configuration, and test documentation. The Engineer will help improve manual test coverage, support faster regression cycles, and ensure quality validation of monitoring products before release.
