Job summary

EGIS is seeking a highly skilled Highway Design Engineer to lead complex highway projects in Bengaluru, driving alignment, drainage and traffic control design to deliver safe, sustainable infrastructure on schedule.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation, analyzing traffic and environmental impacts, and mentoring junior engineers while coordinating with environmental, geotechnical, and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• PE license.
• 7-9 years' experience in highway design and engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in highway design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies.

What do we need from you

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required; Master's degree preferred
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• 7 - 9 years' experience in highway design and engineering, with a proven track record of successful large-scale infrastructure projects
• Advanced proficiency in highway design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
• Strong knowledge of traffic analysis software and techniques
• In-depth understanding of highway design principles, construction methods, and materials
• Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Strong project management abilities, including resource allocation and budget control
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with team members and presenting to clients
• Experience with local and national highway design standards and regulations
• Relevant certifications in highway design or transportation engineering are a plus
