Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end highway design projects including feasibility, preliminary, and detailed engineering.
• Oversee geometric design of highways, expressways, interchanges, and urban roads.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and guidelines (e.g., IRC, MoRTH, AASHTO where applicable)
• Manage and review design outputs such as alignment plans, profiles, cross-sections, and reports
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structures, drainage, traffic, geotechnical, utilities)
• Interface with clients, authorities, and stakeholders for design approvals and reviews
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation
• Lead value engineering initiatives and optimize design solutions
• Review BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation
• Ensure quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) in all design deliverables
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and design teams
• Support business development, proposals, and technical bids

Role Overview

The Senior Highway Design Manager will lead the planning, design, and delivery of highway and roadway infrastructure projects. This role requires extensive experience in geometric design, coordination across disciplines, and managing design teams to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely project execution.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 15-17 years of experience in highway/road design projects
• Strong expertise in geometric design and highway engineering principles
• Hands‑on experience with design software (e.g., Civil 3D, MX Road, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, ARC GIS Pro)
• Proven track record in handling large‑scale highway or expressway projects
