Job summary

EGIS is seeking a highly skilled Highway Design Engineer to lead the design and development of complex highway projects in Bengaluru, India. You will ensure safety, efficiency and sustainability while delivering high-quality designs.

You will develop comprehensive highway design plans, create detailed 3D models, and collaborate with environmental and geotechnical teams to meet standards. Strong software proficiency and a PE license are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• PE license required or pursued with relevant project experience.
• 7–9 years of highway design and infrastructure project experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee highway design plans including alignment, drainage, and traffic control.
• Create detailed 3D models and construction drawings using Civil 3D and MicroStation.
• Analyze traffic patterns and environmental impacts to optimize designs.
• Collaborate with environmental specialists, geotechnical engineers, and construction managers.
• Ensure compliance with local to national highway design standards and regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare technical reports, design proposals, and client updates.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

• Utilize advanced highway design software to create detailed 3D models and construction drawings
• Conduct thorough analysis of traffic patterns, environmental impacts, and safety considerations to optimize design solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including environmental specialists, geotechnical engineers, and construction managers
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national highway design standards and regulations
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver high-quality designs on schedule
