Job summary

Tata Communications is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to oversee day-to-day network operations and maintenance in a fast-paced, 24x7 environment, based in Pune, India.

You will administer network tools, drive upgrades, perform vulnerability assessments, and ensure SLA adherence while collaborating with internal teams on new installations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Experience in technical support in fast-paced, high-availability, 24x7 environments.
• Familiarity with network operations and operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage network operations and maintenance.
• Maintain, administer, upgrade, and troubleshoot network tools and equipment.
• Assist with installations for customers and internal projects including terminations, testing, and labeling of transmission mediums.
• Ensure SLAs are achieved and maintained.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments for networks, servers, applications, and operating systems.
• Perform network security audits and scanning on a predefined basis.
• Compile and track vulnerabilities over time for metrics purposes.
• Upgrade tools and update related SOP documents.

• The role is responsible for network operations and maintenance. This is an operational role that may seek appropriate level of guidance and advice to ensure delivery of quality outcomes. Responsibilities
• Maintaining, administering, upgrading, and troubleshooting network tools and equipment
• Assisting with and implementing installations as required for new and existing customer and internal projects inclusive of - terminations, testing and labelling of most common transmission mediums, hardware installations etc.
• Ensure SLA are achieved & work proactively to maintain the same.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments for networks, Servers, applications, and operating systems
• Conduct network security audits and scanning on a predetermined basis.
• Compile and track vulnerabilities over time for metrics purposes.
• Timely upgradation of all the tools used and their related documents like SOP
