Job summary

Capita in Pune, India seeks a Senior Engineer - Network Operations to lead handling of complex faults, serve as the final escalation point for multi-tier teams, and drive network upgrades. You will coordinate with partners to resolve major incidents while maintaining detailed network knowledge and documentation.

You will participate in 24/7 rota coverage, review network designs, and support platform engineering to improve core network performance and resiliency, ensuring SLA adherence and smooth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in managing complex network incidents and escalations.
• Understanding of network design, upgrades and performance optimization.

Job Description

• Resolve highly complex network faults and act as the final escalation point for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line teams.
• Identify and resolve complex network issues, deliver service requests, and perform network upgrades.
• Ensure all escalated and major incidents are resolved within the senior operations team or managed in conjunction with technology partners.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of all customer networks.
• Identify and manage any escalated faults with 3rd party suppliers for major incidents.
• Identify and implement design changes to existing customer networks to improve performance of their services.
• Complete low level design (LLD) reviews of new customers/projects as part of the operational acceptance process.
• Prioritise network improvement changes according to risk.
• Act as technical reviewer and approver for network changes presented to the CAB.
• Work closely with the Platform Engineering team to improve performance and resiliency of the core network.
• Support design and project teams on major projects for new and existing customers.
• Provide and update technical documentation and diagram instructions for existing customers and services.
• Provide training, guidance and support to other Capita teams.
• Provide out‑of‑hours support via 24/7 rota as required.
• Manage and resolve incidents and service requests raised via proactive monitoring platforms and directly from customers within contractual SLA.
