Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Coimbatore invites an experienced Lead Shift Technician to oversee SMT shift operations, coordinate with planning and production for daily load and line setup, and ensure smooth production. You will monitor SMT line performance, promptly address machine alarms, stoppages, and feeder/nozzle issues, and drive quick resolution to interruptions to minimize downtime.

You'll also coordinate with the maintenance team, ensure spares and tools are available, support technician

Responsibilities

• Lead Shift Technicians and coordinate SMT shift activities to ensure smooth production.
• Coordinate with Planning and Production for day-to-day manufacturing requirements, line setup, changeover, and monitor SMT line performance.
• Focus on minor stoppages, machine alarms, feeder/nozzle issues, and process interruptions and drive quick resolution.
• Coordinate with Equipment/PM team and machine suppliers to close all breakdowns, technical issues, and open action points.
• Support training arrangements and skill development of SMT technicians on machines, process controls, troubleshooting, and safety.
• Ensure critical SMT spares, feeders, nozzles, consumables, and tools are available to support uninterrupted production.
• Monitor SMT machine uptime, output, downtime, and line efficiency and take corrective actions for performance gaps.
