Job summary

Sterlite Electric in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, is seeking a Lead – Electrical Maintenance to oversee and enhance the reliability and efficiency of production machinery in our metal conductor plant. You will lead maintenance teams, coordinate with production, and implement predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in procurement within the conductor, cables or metal industry, a relevant engineering degree, and MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, specifically with conductor, cables or Metal industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal performance of all plant machinery, including wire drawing machines, annealing units, stranding machines, extrusion lines, and related utilities.
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns with minimal production downtime.
• Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies (using vibration analysis, thermal imaging, etc.).
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with the production and quality teams to support uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in planning and executing machine upgrades, installations, and plant expansions.
• Manage external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Continuously analyze equipment performance data to recommend improvements.
