Job Description: Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Infrastructure Maintenance
- Power Distribution: Operate, monitor, and maintain high-voltage and low-voltage systems, including 2000 KVA Transformers and HT/LT switchgears.
- Backup Power: Oversee the breakdown and preventive maintenance of 500 KVA DG sets to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
- Control Systems: Manage, troubleshoot, and calibrate synchronizing panels, AMF panels, APFC panels, and PLC-based control systems.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure complete compliance with statutory electrical safety regulations and maintain all mandatory logs and registers.
Mechanical Maintenance
- Factory Machinery: Implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for mechanical engineering factory equipment (e.g., CNC machines, overhead cranes, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, compressors).
- Utility Systems: Maintain utility piping, pumps, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.
Civil & General Maintenance
- Facility Upkeep: Oversee minor civil works, structural repairs, floor maintenance, and drainage systems within the factory premises.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external civil and mechanical contractors for factory expansions or modifications.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Team Supervision: Lead, train, and schedule shift rosters for a team of maintenance technicians and electricians.
- Inventory Control: Maintain optimal stock levels of critical engineering spares, consumable parts, and tools.
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Certification
- Degree/Diploma: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).
- Mandatory Licensing: Must possess a valid, active Electrical C-License issued by the state licensing board.
Experience
Minimum 3–6 years of core maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant or mechanical engineering factory. Direct hands‑on experience handling high‑capacity utilities (2000 KVA HT transformers and 500 KVA DG synchronization).
Technical Competencies
- Deep knowledge of electrical drawings, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), and mechanical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both electrical automation and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in implementation of safety protocols, Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), and OHSAS standards.
