Job summary

ACG World is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to design and develop cartoning machines. You will lead the end-to-end design, review and release for manufacturing, coordinating with purchasing, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and high quality.

The role requires hands-on 3D CAD using Solid Edge, with site exposure for troubleshooting and customization for pharma clients.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (as listed).
• 4-5 years experience in machine building & packaging machineries.

Responsibilities

• Design of Cartoning machine.
• Lead end-to-end design, review, release for manufacturing, and vendor interaction.
• Ensure design accuracy and lifecycle ownership, with proper documentation.
• Site exposure and travel for troubleshooting.

To design and develop efficient and reliable cartoning machine solutions by leveraging strong mechanical design expertise, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Contribute to end-to-end product development, from concept to implementation, while driving innovation, customization, and continuous improvement.

Primary responsibilities

• Design of Cartonining machine
• Leading design and development of area of the machine end to end, including design, review, release for manufactuiring, Purchase interaction, vendor development, implementation of design, capture learning and standardization.
• Supporting Team in achieving common goal, by participating and leading development projects, help executing by technical and cad skill set.
• Responsible for correctness of the documents and design made by him/her and its lifecycle.
• Accountable for sustaining the design developed by him, and ownership of the product from lifecycle perspective.

Scope of Decision Making:

• Operates within general work instructions and supervision of the end outcomes/results, typically focusing on projects within own area of expertise
• Takes decisions on activities such as design, vendor support, shop floor support and associated with the product development process, and escalates any deviations/hurdles
• Makes recommendations on matters in his/her specific area of expertise (e.g. use of different types of material, design, process etc.)
• Must have design experience on cartoning machine
• Hand on experience on 3D Software (Sold Edge preferred)
• Must have insight of various configuration of Cartons and Carton machine
• Must have experience in executing Projects with customization.
• Site exposure, travelled to site for troubleshooting
• Participated or lead development activities in current or past organization
• Exposure to Pharma Clients
• Working experience with CFTs
