Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in India is seeking an Engine Calibration Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to contribute to calibration development for engines and vehicles. You will execute steady-state and transient calibration activities, support combustion optimization, and help in exhaust after-treatment calibration to meet emission targets.
The role involves testing on engine and chassis dynos, data analysis, integration with EMS and transmission systems, and driving root-cause analysis

1. Basic understanding of engine architecture
2. Basic understanding of combustion system and emission control. Effects of combustion hardware on performance and emission.
3. Knowledge of calibration softwares
* ETAS INCA
* MATLAB/Simulink
* AVL Concerto/Puma
4. Basic coding skills in Matlab and /or Python
5. Knowledge of vehicle sub systems which affect vehicle performance parameters
6. Knowledge of steady state engine development on engine bench
7. Knowledge of EMS system component selection and evaluation methods
8. Knowledge of vehicle calibration, comfort functions, drivability, IOBD etc
9. Understanding of Intake, exhaust, cooling and fuel system interfaces on engine performance and emissions.
10. Failure analysis, root cause analysis
11. Awareness of emission cycles, test procedures, various norms and regulation
Should have worked in atleast one MPFI engine development program from start of calibration to SOP
Good communication skills
Willingness to work as a team in highly dynamic environment
