Job summary

Valeo's GTSC Mechanical team in Chennai seeks an Engineering Disciplines specialist to execute FEA for plastic components and validate designs. You will model with 2D shell meshing (ANSA/HyperMesh) and run Abaqus/OptiStruct analyses, addressing nonlinear and vibration simulations.

You will plan timelines, track progress, compare results with tests, document best practices, and communicate clearly with stakeholders while handling multiple priorities in a permanent contract role.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in plastic parts meshing using ANSA or HyperMesh.
• FEA analysis using Abaqus/OptiStruct.
• Non-linear structural and vibration simulations (Modal, Harmonic, PSD).
• Solid understanding of SOM, Dynamics and Fatigue.
• Knowledge of Automotive HVAC systems and subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a FEA model using 2D shell meshing for plastic components.

• Debug Abaqus simulation convergence issues.
• Post processing and results interpretation.
• Validate mechanical design and propose design improvements.

• Candidates must have around 2-3 years of significant professional experience of Plastic parts meshing using ANSA or hypermesh and FEA analysis using Abaqus/Optistruct.

• Good experience in Non-linear structural and Vibration simulations (Modal, Harmonic, PSD).

• Good theoretical knowledge on core Mechanical subjects like SOM, Dynamics and Fatigue.

• Good understanding of Automotive HVAC Systems and other subsystems

• Good problem solving and communication skills

• Good in written and Verbal communication.
