Job summary

Valeo INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Chennai is seeking an R&D Engineer to perform thermal simulation and CFD analyses on assigned projects, and to prepare reports for the project teams. Qualifications

• External B.Tech./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience: 4-8 years in thermal simulation domain.
• Good knowledge in thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to CFD software (ICEM, FLUENT, COMSOL) desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal simulation/CFD analysis for the assigned projects.
• Define the simulation models including geometrical modeling, material properties, etc.
• Conduct steady state or transient simulations as required by the project needs.
• Interpret results and provide inputs to the design team for improving system performance.
• Automate the simulations where possible to reduce analysis time.
• Optimize the simulation models to achieve faster convergence.
• Stay updated with the latest advances in thermal engineering and apply to improve techniques.
• Contribute to development of standard guidelines & methodologies within the department.
• Support other activities such as process automation, data management, etc.
• Provide technical guidance to junior members.

Job Summary
