Job summary

Sharda Motor Industries is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to sustain plant machines in good working order, implementing preventive maintenance, TPM and safety protocols on the shop floor.

You will maintain machine history records, monitor energy use, reduce spare costs, and coordinate with internal customers to ensure uninterrupted utility services and adherence to IATF 16949 & QMS. DME/BE with 1–3 years or BE 1–2 years in automotive is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and PM procedures.
• Familiarity with MTTR, MTBF and TPM concepts as per standards.
• Understanding of IATF 16949, TPM and EMS-OHSAS requirements.

Responsibilities

• To maintain and ensure preventive maintenance is accomplished and documented.
• To maintain machine history cards for all machines & equipment.
• To provide uninterrupted utility services.
• To ensure safety equipments are installed and available in operating order.
• Maintain & monitor inventories of spares.
• To monitor energy cost and prepare action plan for cost saving.
• To plan for corrective/preventive actions for repeated failures.
• To educate the operators for not changing or interfering with safety devices.
• To plan for spare parts required for critical machines.
• To maintain documents related to IATF 16949 & QMS.
• To learn and support implement TPM on shop floor.
• To co-operate & coordinate with internal customers of Maint Dept.
• Any other task entrusted by the HOD.
• Maintain MTBF & MTTR.
• Reduce spare cost.
