Qualifications

• Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical or Mechanical engineering.
• MBA is preferred.
• 16–25 years of experience in iron ore beneficiation or pellet feed preparation.
• Exposure to pellet/DRI integration desirable.
• Consulting or transformation experience preferred.

About the Role:

This role will lead transformation initiatives across beneficiation and ore processing operations, focusing on yield improvement, recovery optimization, and process stability. The role operates from COE and drives performance through analytics, governance, and process excellence not direct plant operations.

Role & Responsibilities:

Process Optimization

• Improve Fe recovery, yield, and grade consistency
• Optimize crushing, grinding, classification, and separation circuits
• Reduce tailing losses and improve beneficiation efficiency

Throughput & Stability

• Drive plant throughput vs design capacity
• Reduce variability and process interruptions
• Improve circuit balance (HPGR, ball mill, wet circuits, etc.)

Cost & Efficiency Improvement

• Optimize power consumption, reagent usage, and water balance
• Benchmark cost/ton vs industry

Quality Control

• Ensure consistent feed quality to pellet/DRI plants
• Monitor metallurgical performance (Fe %, gangue levels, recovery)

Governance & Analytics

• Run structured performance reviews
• Lead root cause analysis for yield losses
• Build performance dashboards and KPIs

Cross-Functional Alignment

• Align beneficiation output with mining variability
• Interface with pellet/DRI teams for downstream optimization

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• B.Tech/BE in Metallurgy/Mineral Processing /Chemical/Mechanical
• MBA preferred
