Job summary

Kalpataru International in Kolkata (New Town) seeks a Senior Manager to lead Ferrous & Non-Ferrous process design for metals processing plants. You will drive design calculations, equipment sizing, and coordination with clients, OEMs, and engineering teams.

The role requires 12–15 years of experience in metals, EPC/EPCM projects, and expertise in process design and metallurgical systems, with opportunities to work on large-scale international projects.

Qualifications

Manager Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Process Design Engineer

Location: Kolkata (New Town)

Experience: 12-15 Years

Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Metallurgical, Chemical, or Process Engineering

Role Summary

Lead process design and engineering for ferrous and non-ferrous metal processing plants, including beneficiation, pelletization, smelting, refining, casting, and rolling facilities. Responsible for process calculations, equipment sizing, design deliverables, plant layout reviews, and coordination with clients, OEMs, licensors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, Heat & Material Balances, and design basis documents.
• Perform process calculations, equipment sizing, and utility assessments.
• Design and optimize beneficiation, pellet, smelting, refining, casting, and rolling processes.
• Review plant layouts and 3D models for safety, operability, and constructability.
• Coordinate with technology providers, OEMs, clients, and engineering disciplines.
• Support technical evaluations, vendor reviews, and project execution activities.

Desired Experience

• 12-15 years in Metals & Minerals, Steel Plants, Pellet Plants, Beneficiation Plants, Smelters, Refineries, or Industrial Process Plants.
• Strong expertise in process design, metallurgical systems, and EPC/EPCM project execution.
• Experience in process optimization, equipment sizing, and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
