Energy Strategy Group Analyst Responsibilities Position - Energy Strategy Group Analyst
Support the development of business strategies by collecting and analysing data, building financial models, and providing insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Contribute to strategic planning by assisting in the identification of growth opportunities, evaluating potential business models, and preparing scenario analysis for business unit strategies. Assist in tracking progress on strategic initiatives by developing performance metrics and preparing regular updates for senior leadership, ensuring timely adjustments as required. Provide data driven insight and support the focus areas including Power generation (Thermal, Gas, Nuclear, RE), Transmission & Distribution, ESS (PSP, BESS), Power market trends, Regulatory frameworks, Policy advocacy, etc.
Support innovation efforts by conducting analysis on new revenue models and market entry strategies and participating in incubation initiatives to test and refine innovative business ideas. Facilitate the adoption of data analytics by implementing data-driven insights and supporting advanced analytics initiatives that enhance decision-making and optimize performance.
Deliver market intelligence by gathering data on energy market trends, emerging opportunities, and competitor strategies, and generating insights for informed strategy development. Support the identification of new business opportunities by conducting feasibility studies and evaluating potential business models in collaboration with the relevant BU teams. Analyse competitive dynamics by assessing market share changes, evaluating asset performance, and identifying potential disruptors, helping to formulate strategic responses.
Enhance stakeholder engagement by assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and updates for MD/CEOs, functional heads, and the Group Chairman's office on key strategic initiatives. Promote cross-functional collaboration by supporting engagement efforts across business units and ensuring alignment with the overall strategic vision of the organization. Support in driving Group advocacy initiatives at key industry forums and identify high visibility opportunities & prepare white papers, policy notes and talking points for appropriate forums to effectively communicate organization's position and objectives.

Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. and /or M.E./M.Tech./MBA/CA (Preferred Engineering with MBA) Work Experience (Range of years): 3-6 years of experience in energy strategy, corporate strategy, consulting or regulatory affairs and business development in the energy/power/utilities sector with a profound understanding of latest trends and ongoing developments in the sector. Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, build excel models and deliver data-driven insights. Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of supporting senior stakeholders in strategy discussions and decision-making processes.
