Responsibilities
Carry out a wide range of renewable energy system modelling and economics studies.
Determine effective capacity of non-dispatchable energy resources on the grid, calculate power variability from PV/wind systems, compare the accuracy of satellite-based solar irradiance forecasts against ground-based measurements, evaluate energy storage resources to meet forecasting and scheduling requirements.
Develop dashboards with data visualizations of data points to show relevant and important insights.
Prepare detailed energy reports, including cost-benefit analyses, energy usage patterns, and recommendations for efficiency improvements In addition to carrying out directed studies, the analyst will help write reports, write grant proposals, evaluate and use various analytical software tools.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and statistical modeling.
Hands on experience in PVSyst, Meteonorm, SolarGIS, Helioscope etc Understanding of energy markets, utility rates, and energy procurement processes.
Graduate / post-graduate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Solar Resource Assessment / Wind Resource Assessment, Energy Modeling.
