Job description

Position Responsibilities

As an Energy Analyst, the primary responsibilities include managing and supporting the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for commercial and industrial clients, including coordination and execution support. The role involves collecting required data, documentation, and authorization forms to ensure smooth workflow execution.

The analyst will support EMEA regional teams by delivering analytical inputs, conducting client-specific analysis, and maintaining or developing internal tools and models used by Schneider Electric. A key part of the role includes energy-related data research and maintaining a regularly updated database using inputs from industry reports, regulatory bodies, data providers, and online sources.

The position requires strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, along with the ability to support client engagements and internal assignments through structured analysis and accurate reporting. The analyst will also be responsible for ensuring complete and timely documentation of all processes, especially within sourcing operations and customer supply contract administration.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining workflow tracking systems, supporting budget and portfolio analysis, issuing supplier notifications, and ensuring timely follow-ups in line with SLAs. The role also requires close coordination with internal teams to ensure all transactions and documentation are properly recorded and updated in central databases.

Other duties may be assigned as required based on business needs.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Business Administration. Early-career professionals with 0–4 years of experience are preferred, with exposure to energy, power, renewables, fuel, or sustainability sectors considered an advantage.

The role requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, along with a keen interest in the energy industry. Candidates must demonstrate excellent web and data research capabilities, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with EMEA-based teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to quickly learn processes and adhere strictly to operational guidelines.

The candidate should be highly organized, capable of multitasking across multiple assignments, and able to perform efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
