Job summary

Continental Hospitals in Hyderabad, Telangana, seeks a Consultant – Emergency Medicine to lead rapid assessment, stabilization, and management of critically ill patients in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

The ideal candidate holds an MBBS with MD in Emergency Medicine and has relevant experience in emergency care, trauma, and critical‑care settings. Rotational shifts including night duties may apply; adherence to infection‑control and patient‑safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• MBBS with MD in Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Relevant experience in Emergency Medicine will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Manage medical emergencies, trauma, critical and unstable patients.
• Perform emergency procedures including CPR, airway management, intubation, and other life‑saving interventions as required.
• Coordinate with consultants and other departments for timely referrals and further management.
• Monitor critically ill patients and ensure appropriate escalation of care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital protocols, infection‑control standards, and patient‑safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their attendants.
• Participate in emergency response, clinical audits, training, and quality‑improvement activities.
