Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking an Embedded Software Project Management Engineer in Bengaluru to lead the software development discipline for automotive projects. You will coordinate SW teams, manage estimations and planning, and ensure timely releases and deliveries in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5–10 years in automotive or related fields with customer contact, knowledge of SW development processes, and strong communication across international teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in automotive or related field with customer contact.
• Experience delivering the software engineering content for a project.
• At least one project from acquisition to production launch as a team member.
• Knowledge of SW product development process.
• Functional leadership is highly preferred.
• Experience working in an international team.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

• Embedded Software Project Management Engineer

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for delivering the technical content of the Software Engineering discipline for a project.
• Leads and coordinates the technical activities performed by the SW development teams (estimation, planning, task assignment ...) and escalates issues which cannot be solved within the team.
• Approves the technical solution of the SW Subsystem and drives the SW Release and deliveries.
• Coordinate other disciplines

Your Qualifications:

• Project Management Competency (Stakeholder Management, Change Management and Problem Resolution Management, Escalation Management, Review and Release Management, Customer Relationship Management)
• Total 5 to 10 years of experience in automotive or comparable field with customer contact
• At least finished one project from Acquisition to Production launch successfully (as team member)
• SW Product Development Process knowhow
• At least functional leadership highly preferred
• Worked as team member in an international team
• Good Communication and Negotiation skills
